The Institute was founded by Dan Chițoiu and John Farina as a research platform to address critical issues arising from today’s rapidly evolving world, recognizing that the dynamic connection between values and spirituality has a significant impact nowadays.

Institute for the Study of Values and Spirituality aims to research the dynamics of values in the current global context and evaluate the role of spirituality in contemporary times by developing new research strategies and tools. The Institute seeks to identify and explore areas related to values and spiritual life across diverse cultural backgrounds, drawing on high-level expertise from academia and beyond. These respond to the new awareness of the cultural grounds of human life and the global nature of their interaction.
